this whole chic-fil-a thing has turned into far too much in my opinion. however… courtesy of all the ridiculous facebook posts. i do feel the need to say…
everyone is entitled to their own opinion. keep it. it’s yours. i choose love. i want it for everyone. you can all have your opinions. and i’ll respect them. (for the most part) however, when your opinion comes at the expense of the feelings of others. the blatant disregard for their lives and lifestyle. it means that you’re unkind. which does offend me. we are at the point in this country where people who hold esteemed positions in society need to push for gay rights and support the legalization of gay marriage. i feel like they should for many reasons, most importantly, simply to save the children we have who are killing themselves because you feel the need to voice your unkind opinion. use your positions and your voices to absolve hate. to make everyone feel important. not to make yourself feel more accredited. using your voice to fuel a fire that has already resulted in too much loss… there isn’t an excuse for that at this point. choose silence over that.
